I am drawn to that one moment when someone enters a space and just for that short period of time belongs there like a piece of puzzle.
Living in huge, crowded cities like Paris and London I sometimes feel very isolated and lonely even if there are millions of people around me. As a street photographer I often focus on this kind of urban solitude.

The ballet project
(ongoing work)
Classical ballet tends to highlight the grace and beauty of this dance form. As viewers we usually see ballet dancers as beautiful, fairy-like, lightweight people and it’s quite easy to forget that ballet is also incredible muscle work, injured feet, pain, strict diets and sacrifices, and that dancers from an early age often exploit their bodies in order to achieve those beautiful movements. I got interested in the contrast of what ballet looks like and what it feels like to the dancer’s body.
Dancers: Marie-Albane ‘Théophane’, Eddy Hersaut-Calazel
